I spent a few pennies learning hypnosis to become a hypnotherapist. It really appealed to me and I thought it would be something I could do that would be lucrative, fulfilling, and allow me to make my own schedule around the family I wanted to have. Well I thought wrong. The education was great and I learned amazing things about the abilities of the mind. However; I didn't anticipate my own failings. I am a serious introvert and finding avenues to promote myself was like asking me to walk naked in public.
But--and the point of this post--is the things I learned I'm realizing I can now use for myself. I'm finding as I travel this path to writing success I am riddled with self-doubt. Confidence and I have never been friends, so I created a Mental Bank Ledger to re-write my mental script to one that will ensure my success, dreams, and goals become my reality. Its really easy and it doesn't involve any hypnosis (that people are often so scared of). Think of it as a journal you fill out before bed. Here is a link if you would like to know more about The Mental Bank Program. There is a book you can buy and/or videos. The creator, Dr. John Kappas, was a leader in Hypnotherapy and is quite fun to watch too. If you have never tried hypnosis, I strongly recommend you do. It is the most relaxed you will ever feel and if you volunteer in stage hypnosis for a show it is super fun for everyone.
I will update with the positive changes and happenings that will result from this and am happy to answer any questions about my progress, my experience with both hypnotherapy and stage hypnosis, or anything else you are curious about.
