Your Daily Man Meat plus something you should watch

Your Welcome.

I some how stumbled across a television show online called Mia Figlia De Elisa. It is in italian and the one I watched had no subtitles but Oh My God. It is a romance novel on film. He (above) is the main character and he is swoon worthy to say the least. There is one seen where he is shirtless in tight breeches coming out of water....and well just take my word for it you need to see it. His real name is Giulio Berruti so google his image to your hearts content.

Your Daily Man Meat

Why yes I will have your love child, how kind of you to ask. Said every woman everywhere.

Re-reading a good read.

This is why I keep my books because I enjoy re-reading them over and over again. Maybe its been a year, maybe its been two years, and maybe I've already read it five times but what ever the reason I will come back to it again. I am currently finishing Married By Morning and will move on to Love In The Afternoon. You cant read just one. I started with Cam and Amelia but each book promises the next one will be just as good so you have to keep going. I highly recommend this author. Lisa Kleypas is a goose that lays golden eggs in the form of scintillating, sweet, and witty romance novels.

I can't pick which hero is my favorite. Cam is so assured and earthy, Merripen is so strong and a dark knight in shining armor, and then there is Leo. Leo is the ultimate reformed rake but even on his best behavior is such a naughty boy. You can't help but love him.

I've got my own writing to do but I consider reading as part of my job description so essentially I am still hard at work. ;)

What makes a hero?

Bane as played by Tom Hardy in The Dark Night Rises is sort of an obsession for me right now. He is a fascinating character born of violence and yet I find myself drawn to him. What is so appealing? Well for me it is the mystery of the mask and his muscular physique. The shaved head, thick neck, bulging arms, and tattoo's. Oh yeah he is definitely my cup of tea. I consider it my job as a romance novelist to fantasize about men especially if they are great hero potential. Sorry dear husband but don't be jealous because many traits I find so irresistible in these characters you have too. To be quite frank I want to wrap my self around Bane and have his babies. Naturally I want to sooth all his hurts and change this wounded man from a violent monster into my personal beef cake cuddle buddy. That's what imagination is for right?
But is Bane hero potential? Is he redeemable and lovable? Sure there are naughty things I would like to do with him but could a heroine love someone so tragically twisted? I think not. It is such a pity that such a glorious specimen of masculinity will go without the love of a woman but such is his fictitious life. I will file him away to fantasy land and keep him there for inspiration.

On this day....

I feel validated. I am so excited to announce that Mine, All Mine will be published through Tinderboox ePublishing. I feel validated because for the first time someone outside friends, family, or random Internet reader finds my book to be good enough for publishing. This is a huge step for my writing career and a wonderful feeling. I will be working with a professional editor, proof reader, and cover designer. When the final (revised) draft is finished it will be promoted and sold through Amazon kdp select, Smashwords, and Barnes&Nobel ePublishing. I definitely had a screaming dancing around my room moment (silent scream because my son was napping). For all you cynics out there I am well aware this is not my J.K. Rowling or Stefanie Meyer break though and I am not quitting my day job but this is  big deal to me and I am damn excited. This may not be my winning lottery ticket but it is definitely a step towards my dream. There is still lots of work to be done but I won't be doing it alone now. Opportunity is knocking and I am opening the door!

For aspiring authors, experienced freelance editors, proof readers, and cover designers check it out!

Try, try, try again.

So I have decided to submit Mine, All Mine to an agent and see where it goes. I would love to be a self published author and rock it all on my own but the truth of the matter is I have no idea how to sell myself. Writing romance is still something I hold very close to me. Few people inside my family have actually read my writing let alone know that I write/have written a complete book. It is what it is, I accepted a long time ago that I don't have a good support system around me. I am just not good at being my own cheerleader so I will attempt to solicit an agent again. I've done it before with previous works in progress but never with the finished Mine, All Mine. Ive gotten good feed back from this agent before and I am hoping that with a finished manuscript that has gotten good reviews she will take me on and be my cheerleader. The fact is I can't sell a candy bar to save my life so I don't even know how to begin to sell my book or even get myself out there. Wish me luck!
